The Apollo theater
One of the most famous theater in Harlem, in the North of Manhattan. Each show on display there, knows a real success. This is a really huge place which contains around 1,750 seats. Since the Harlem Renaissance, the theater is the symbol of Afro-American music.
This place became famous thanks to a TV show called "It's Showtime at the Apollo", which consisted to make young talents show what they can do every Wednesday's evenings.
The Studio museum in Harlem
This famous museum is located in Harlem as well in the borough of Manhattan. It was founded in 1968 and it contains more than 2,600 pieces of art such as paintings, drawings and so much more. It's a museum dedicated to showing the work of African-American people. It offers a collection of vibrant and inspiring piece of art of the 19th and 20th centuries.
The Graffiti hall of fame
This place is located in East Harlem.
For nearly 40 years, artists have been making the pilgrimage to the New York City's Graffiti hall of fame.
Steet art has become a respected form of art, a safe space for Harlem artists.
Biggest latin festival
This festival is organized to honor the Puerto-Rican community of East Harlem and beyond. It lasts 2 days and it takes place every year in the 116th street of Harlem.
Every year hundreds of thousands of people come to participate in the festival.
The festival contains many activities such as music stages and Puerto-Rican food stalls, covered with very tasty food.
